Now You See... My Newest Blog

Now You See Me and it's equally amazing Now You See Me 2 have long been two of my favourite movies, both claiming a spot in my personal top 10. And even though the first time you watch it will be the most surprising and exciting, watching it again knowing the twists is almost as good- seeing it knowing who is what makes those tiny little unnoticed details absolutely crucial.

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that my almost blind optimism about shows and movies may make me seem biased. I am. This is one of my favourite movies and so I will give a very positive review of it, and I'd like to be clear by saying that I have lots of friends who weren't fans at all. I can't promise you'll love it or its sequel, but I definitely think its worth a try. Worst case scenario you lose a couple of hours you can't get back, best case scenario you discover your new favourite movie like I did years ago. As with most of my entertainment blogs I'll discuss the characters and plot with as few spoilers as I can, but I'd also like to spice this blog up with a little bit about the special effects and action (I personally think they're one of the best features).

So characters! My favourite has to be Jack- and not just because he's played by the gorgeous Dave Franco- he is, in my opinion, I really lovable, funny and arguably underrated character. Woody Harrelson, aka my second favourite bald actor after Stanley Tucci, also plays a brilliantly funny character in this movie, bringing in his classic charm and sarcasm. I won't risk explaining the other characters in too much detail out of fear for spoilers, but any movie with Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo is an immediate recipe for success.

Now for the spice! The special effects in these movies are absolutely amazing, even when rewatching it when I knew what to expect from each trick and was concentrating extremely hard everything was seamlessly perfect. I wouldn’t go so far as to call this an action movie, but the action scenes absolutely do not disappoint.

Unfortunately I’m gonna have to cut this blog short, due to it being late on a Sunday night and me being exhausted from the boiling weather that the UK has been blessed with recently. In conclusion: watch this movie! It’s marmite, some of you will love it and some will hate it, but it’s worth a couple of hours either way.
