Have Yourself A Trendy Little Christmas

As we edge closer to the most wonderful time of the year, the winter weather has everyone feeling a bit down. But it isn’t all bad, as the chilly season has inspired lots of new looks this year, and a few of the festive trends have definitely got our approval.

  1. Natural Tones

According to the Trendspotter.com, one of the biggest trends of Winter 2020 is set to be natural tones all over. It’s been popular for a few seasons now and it certainly looks like it’s here to stay for the holidays. Monochromatic and neutral outfits are versatile and easy to create, with the bonus of looking amazing on everyone. Don’t hold back this season, step out with a variation of shades, the choices are countless and the look is timeless.

  1. Flared Jeans

2020? More like 1970, and with those vintage trends making a comeback, we have the 70s to thank for a few of our holiday favourites. A popular choice on college campus is flared jeans, whether they’re paired with some warm winter heels or a trench coat to add a touch of drama, we are loving the style, and taking it into the new year with us.

  1. Red

With two national lockdowns, it is safe to say that everyone has seen red this year. But in the leadup to Christmas, we can finally be joyful about this festive colour. Whether it’s in a chic, slinky sequin dress or a bright xmas jumper, we are saying yes to red! If you’re feeling confident, finish off a look with a bold red lip to match.

  1. Cropped Knitwear

Nothing says winter like settling down in a cosy knitted jumper with a mug of hot chocolate and your favourite Christmas movie, and fashion trends this year are putting their own spin on the classic jumper this year by cropping it. Whether it’s a turtleneck or ugly Christmas sweater, why not DIY it and crop it yourself this season? A cropped jumper is the perfect way to stay snug and stylish throughout the colder months.

  1. Joggers

Although they may not be runway material, you can’t go wrong with some casual joggers this season. Not only are they the most comfortable thing in the world, you will get more than your money’s worth out of them, between those chilly morning jogs and those cosy winter nights in, there truly is nothing that a good pair of joggers can’t do.

Some honourable mentions include a chequered pattern (which has been dominating the runways and the hallways in Winter 2020), puffer jackets (trendy and toasty) or a fashionable face mask (a 2020 must-have, literally!).

So whether you’re walking down the catwalk or running to the bus; stay safe, warm and comfortable this Christmas with these stylish trends.
